Task Management Guide in Centime
How to use Centime's task management features, including how to access tasks, create and assign them, manage templates, mark tasks as complete, view archived tasks, and configure task-related email notifications.
✅ Accessing Tasks
The Notifications Panel serves as your main Task Manager in Centime:

🔔 Click the notifications icon in the header bar.

Navigate to the Tasks tab in the Tasks and Notifications panel to manage all your active tasks and view archived tasks as well.
In addition to the Task Manager, you can also access tasks from other parts of the platform:

📊 Tables in AR Module: View and manage tasks linked to specific records directly within the Accounts Receivable (AR) tables.

📄 Document Viewer (Payables Module): Within the Payables module, navigate to the Document tab to view or create tasks related specifically to an invoice or document.
🆕 Creating a New Task
Tasks can be created in two ways:

🧭 From the Task Manager: Click on the ➕ Add a new task button in the Tasks tab.

📊 From the AR Tables: Tasks created from these tables will automatically be pre-filled with solution, customer and invoice details for convenience.
- Fill in the required details:
- 🧩 Area: Accounts Receivable or Payable
- 📋 Template: Use an existing template or create a new template
- 📝 Task notes
- 👥 Relates to:
- Customer or Invoice
- Supplier, Document or Invoice
- 📅 Due Date
- 👤 Task Assignee
- Once all fields are filled, click Create — your task is ready to go! 🚀
⚙️ Managing Task Templates
Task templates are reusable formats for common tasks, perfect for saving time.
Templates can be managed in two places:

From the task creation screen:

From the Task dropdown, click ➕ Add new task template.

Name your template and add any optional notes.

Save it. It will now be available for quick selection in the task creation dropdown. 💡

From Settings: Navigate to Settings > Tasks > Task Template to manage and create templates centrally.

✔️ Marking Tasks as Complete
Done with a task? Mark it as complete:

Click on the task.

Select ✔️ Mark as complete.

Optional:
-
Add notes when completing the task — useful for context or updates.
- Re-assign the task to another team member
- Modify due date

⚠️ You can only mark tasks you created or that are assigned to you as complete.
📦 Tasks Archive

Completed tasks appear in the Archive tab.
-
Deleted tasks do not get archived.
-
All notes added or modified during completion are saved in the task's history for future reference.

Archived tasks are view-only — no further actions can be taken on them.
📬 Task Summary Notifications
Users can manage their task-related email notifications under Settings > Tasks > Task Settings. Notification preferences include:

✅ Send daily summary email

📩 Send assignment email notification

🔄 Send update email notifications
Each option can be individually enabled or disabled based on user preference.
