[Create your Receivables Strategy](https://knowledgebase.centime.com/support/manage-receivables?hsLang=en-us#create-your-receivables-strategy) April 28, 2026 # Managing Documents ## Centime makes it easy to upload, organize, and manage documents at the customer and invoice level—supporting better visibility, documentation, and collaboration throughout the AR process. 📌 **Required Permissions:** - **Customer-Level Documents:** Requires *Manage Customer Profiles, Preferences, and View History* permission. - **Invoice-Level Documents:** Accessible with any AR permission. - **Central Repository Access:** Requires *Manage Documents and Document Types* permission. ### 🧾 Document Upload Overview Documents can be uploaded at three levels your Company Level, a specific Customer level and specific Invoice level.    ### 🏷️ Defining Document Types Centime allows you to define custom document types to categorize and manage uploaded files. 🔍 **Navigation: Settings \> Company Profile \> Document Type** **![](https://knowledgebase.centime.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Apr-07-2025-09-24-23-2067-PM.png?width=670&height=329&name=image-png-Apr-07-2025-09-24-23-2067-PM.png)** By default, Centime includes two document types for the Receivables module: Invoices and Other. To add more: 1. Click **Add Document Type** 2. Name the new type 3. Navigate: Settings \> Company profile \> Documents 2. \+ ADD DOCUMENT 3. **Document Name** - **Document Type** - **Visibility Settings** #### 👁️ Visibility Settings - **Internal:** Only visible within Centime’s AR interface. - **Shared** (Coming Soon): Documents will also be visible to customers via the customer portal. ### 📚 Central Repository Provides a comprehensive, centralized view of all customer- and invoice-related documents. 🔍 **Navigation: Settings \> Company Profile \> Documents** 📌 **Note:** Documents do **not** appear in the KPI or Cashflow side panels. #### 🗂️ Central Repository Features #### ✅ Wrapping Up With Centime’s document management capabilities, you can efficiently upload, organize, and retrieve records, streamlining communication and ensuring accurate documentation. -
