AR Document Uploads and Visibility
Centime now allows merchants and buyers to upload and manage additional documents associated with Invoices and Customers.
AR users can identify invoices and customers that have supporting documents attached, while buyers can view documents that the merchant has made available to them through the Customer Portal.
Buyers can also upload documents themselves against an invoice or customer profile. When they do, the AR team receives an in-app notification, helping them stay informed about new documentation submitted by buyers.
These capabilities make it easier for both merchants and buyers to exchange supporting information, review invoices, make payments, and manage disputes.
1. View Documents Associated with an Invoice
AR users can now see the number of additional documents associated with an invoice directly from the invoice list.
A Document icon with a count is displayed next to the invoice when additional documents are available.
The document count is available on both:
- Unpaid Invoices
- Paid Invoices
For example, if an invoice has 2 additional documents attached, the invoice will display the document icon with 2 next to it.

2. Invoice Documents Visible to Buyers in the Customer Portal
Merchants can upload additional documents related to an invoice or customer and make them available to buyers.
Buyers can view documents that have been marked as Shared from the Customer Portal.
The Document icon with the number of documents is displayed next to the invoice in both:

This allows buyers to review supporting documentation before making a payment or when they need additional information to raise a dispute.
Examples of documents that may be shared include:
- Billing information
- Timesheets
- Proof of delivery
- Purchase orders
- Contracts
- Other supporting invoice documentation
Note: Only documents made available for buyer visibility are shown in the Customer Portal. Internal or unshared documents remain visible only to the merchant.
3. Upload Documents at the Customer Level
Merchants can upload additional documents at the customer/buyer level from the AR module.
Customer-level documents are separate from documents attached to individual invoices and can be used for information that applies to the customer more broadly.
Customer Tab
A Documents column is available on the Customers tab in AR.
The column displays a document icon and the number of documents associated with the customer.
This document indicator makes it easy for AR users to identify customers with additional documentation.
You can also go to Customer Profile > Documents > Add Document
4. Notifications to Customer
AR users / Merchants can upload documents related to an invoice or customer in AR dashboard, and an email notification is sent to the customer contact informing about the additional document uplaod.
AR Team Notifications
When a buyer manually uploads an Invoice level document through the Customer Portal, the AR team receives an in-app notification.

This helps AR teams quickly identify new documents submitted by buyers and take any required action.
